Dr. Mark Maier has been a long-time Florida resident. After graduating from Coral Springs High School in 1980 he attended Valdosta State College, majoring in biology. He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia in 1990. His post-graduate training includes: certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician and in Physiological Therapeutics from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology and Motor Vehicle Crash Forensic Risk Analysis from the Spine Research Institute in San Diego, as well as certification for Florida‘s Worker‘s Compensation Program and Impairment Rating and the Law from the Florida Chiropractic Association.
After nine years of practice in the Atlanta area, he returned to Florida. He has been serving the Port St. Lucie community since 1999, forming Florida Chiropractic in 2005. Dr. Maier is strongly involved in the Port St. Lucie community, sponsoring events such as Kids Day America, St. Lucie County School System’s Health Essay Contest, Angel Tree at Windmill Point Elementary, Scream For Your Life Child Abduction Prevention Program, and many youth sports leagues.
Dr. Maier has coached both Pop Warner and Little League and is also a member of National Youth Sports Coaches Association. From 2005-2012, Dr. Maier was the team chiropractor for the New York and St. Lucie Mets. He lives in Port St. Lucie with his wife of over twenty years, Rhonda, and their son Steven.
